This 200 Amp Hour battery was designed specifically for bumper pull travel trailers in mind but fits great in other applications as well. This battery fits perfectly into the foot print of two 6V lead acid GC2 (golf cart) sized batteries. Double GC2 sized battery boxes are a perfect fit on the tongue of bumper pull trailers and are extremely common on most travel trailer applications which makes swapping to our lithium batteries effortless!

Charging & Discharging

To ensure long lasting health of the lithium cells, each battery is equipped with an on board Battery Monitoring System (BMS) that is designed to discharge at a rate of 200 Amps continuously and charge at a rate of 100 Amps continuously PER BATTERY. This means that if 2 batteries are wired in parallel, the total maximum continuous discharge current would then be 400 Amps with 200 Amps of max charging. 3 batteries in parallel would be 600 Amps continuous discharge and 200 Amps of charging and so on…

Bulk charging specifications from all charging sources should be set for 14.4 Volts Direct Current.

Float charging specifications from all charging sources should be set for 13.6 Volts Direct Current.

Series and Parallel Connections

All Diablo Power Group batteries safely support parallel wiring configurations and series wiring configurations up to 48 volts. Before connecting our batteries in a series configuration there are steps that must be taken to ensure an even discharge across the battery bank.

Ensure all batteries are top balanced before connecting in series. Top Balancing can be achieved by connecting all of the batteries in parallel and using a 12-volt lithium charger to bring the batteries to an equal state of charge (100%). Doing so will ensure that when the batteries are connected in series they will equally discharge which prevents one battery from shutting down before the others.

Additionally, it is recommended that if you are using 12-volt batteries to make a 24, 36, or 48 volt battery bank that you perform the top balance procedure annually. This will ensure the best performance and longest life from your batteries.

Bluetooth Monitoring

Utilizing our mobile application allows precision live monitoring of each individual battery in several ways. The App displays battery voltage, battery temperature, battery state of charge, and most importantly it shows the user exactly how much current is being discharged from the battery or how much current is charging the battery. These features are extremely helpful in troubleshooting power draw issues, but also serve as a power consumption guide. Our unique software also calculates power consumption to give you a very reliable timing function to display how many hours and minutes you have left at your current use rate. Automatic Internal Heating

Lithium battery cells should never be charged when their internal temperature is below freezing. For this reason, each battery is equipped with our internal heating technology to keep the batteries protected even in the coldest weather conditions! Until now, most heated batteries on the market utilized the remaining power in the battery to power the heating circuits which caused unnecessary power draws from the battery and resulted in less useable energy out of the battery. With our proprietary Battery Management System we have designed the heating feature to use power only when there is power to spare! Because low temperature conditions are only a concern when charging lithium batteries, we designed our heating circuit to be powered ONLY from incoming charging power. This means you never sacrifice your useable energy for battery stability and the heating function never drains your battery! Furthermore, our high efficiency internal heaters consume only 14 watts of power from your charging source making them a nearly unnoticeable convenience item that ensures your peace of mind no matter the climate!
